POWER SECTOR

Electricity is produced and distributed from power plants utilizing fossil fuels or nuclear energy as a heat source to produce steam that turns a turbine generator. This substations along the power transmission lines are also monitored and regulated. A typical network configuration to regulate these processes would consist of geographically distributed SCADA systems, RTUs, PLCs, and DCS systems.​
